Homeschooling Day 23

Today’s homeschooling lesson? A total detour. The plan was a neat little cut-and-paste activity about ecosystems. What actually happened? Scissors flew, glue went rogue, and suddenly we were deep into a spontaneous puppet show starring a paper-plate lion and a cardboard volcano.

At first, I started to reel it back in. But then I paused. This—this random, loud, wildly imaginative play—is exactly what I love most about homeschooling. Learning isn’t always tidy. Sometimes it looks like chaos and sounds like giggles. And honestly? That’s where the magic happens.

So we’re calling it “Creative Arts and Drama.” Boom. Lesson logged.

Hello? Who call me?
