Homeschooling Day 11: Stickers, Jelly Babies, and Little Wins

Another day of homeschooling in the books! Today, we kicked things off with a sticker session. My little one loves anything with sticky bits, so we spent the morning decorating a photo frame with an army of colorful stickers. It was a total win—especially since he was so proud of his work!

Today during his shower time, I let him play jelly babies. He was scared at first and refuse to sit inside the tub. He tumble and hit his head ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿคฃ Lucky he was okay. He cried a little and after that he was ok to play in the tub with the jelly babies.

The jelly babies have not fully grown yet.

After dinner, usually I will let him watch youtube for 1 hour.  Anyway, some video are good for his learning too. My son enjoys "Hello Carrie". He will dance to the music and sometimes he will recite the alphabet as well.

We wrapped up the day with a bit of YouTube—his usual “Hello Carrie” time, followed by some quick ABC review. And of course, some piano play to end the day on a high note.

Homeschooling Day 8: Fire Trucks & Free Time

Today was one of those days where I got a little me time—hooray! I started the morning off with a yummy breakfast of French toast and cheese for my little one. Once he was fed, I decided to let him have some fun with a new toy I got—his very own fire engine station! ๐Ÿš’๐Ÿ”ฅ He was so absorbed in it that I basically had the whole day to myself! (I may or may not have snuck in a nap. ๐Ÿ˜…)

Eating his favourite cheese.

Is he trying to draw banana?

I bought this "Kerplunk" toy from FairPrice for $10. I just thought maybe he knows how to play with me? Lol!

He doesn't really know how to play it but at least he enjoy putting all the colour balls in. Lol.

All in all, a pretty chill day with a lot of independent play—and I definitely got some much-needed free time. Yay for days like this!

Homeschooling Day 9: Short Paint Sessions and Dart Fun!

Today’s art session didn’t go exactly as planned. My little one was pretty over painting pretty quickly, despite trying out different materials. I guess a few minutes of creativity is better than none at all, right? I did a little touch-up on his artwork while he happily shouted out the colors he used. ๐ŸŽจ

Later, we wrapped up the day with a super fun (and very simple) dart game! It’s the kind of activity where you can just toss a ball around and have a laugh, no pressure. ๐Ÿ˜„

Good night, world—another day of homeschooling adventures in the bag!

Homeschooling Day 8

Another day has began...Even myself starts to feel tired.

9:30am - Breakfast

I cut cheese and do up a french toast for him :)

10:30am onwards I was feeling lazy so I bring out a new toy! A fire engine station with toy cars. I was so happy that he basically just playing that the whole day! Lol! He played till it was lunch time. After lunch he kept playing till it was time to shower & nap. When he woke up he started to play again ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ So today I have alot of free time for myself! Wee!

7:30pm - I bring out the tent and let him play with the colour balls and let him identify the different colours. I gave him cups for him to transfer the balls around. It is a good way to drain some of his energy.

Homeschooling Day 7

9:30am - Breakfast
10:30am - Create a rainbow using colourful ice cream stick & cotton wool

I don't think he knows how to handle UHU glue properly so I just use double side tape for him to paste.

Doing some random colour from his school worksheet.

Maybe today is Monday. I don’t feel very motivated. After dinner basically just free and easy. He enjoys watching “Bob the train” and dance along to the music.

Before bed I let him read the numbering on the magnetic board.   The magnetic sheet, I bought it from ezbuy. I find this very future as I can buy different magnetic stuff for me to teach him and for him to learn.

Hope for a better day tomorrow!
